World Economic Forum – Global Gender Gap report 2021

“In Cloud Computing, women make up 14% of the workforce; in Engineering, 20%; and in Data and AI, 32%”

Gender gaps are more likely in sectors that require disruptive technical skills.

What that implies is that even as employers are accelerating their digitalization agenda and automation of jobs, post COVID, there are severe gender gaps that exist in the ‘jobs of tomorrow’.

“The Global Gender Gap Report 2020 examined the share of women in the talent pipeline and found that, far from being able to explain such gender gaps across professions exclusively through a shortage of adequately skilled talent, many of the professions outlined have untapped talent pools”
